Tired of living a boring life? Try this . . ? Tired of living a boring life? For $3,700 you can leave boredom behind during a three-day action vacation guaranteed to blow away the cobwebs of life. At an ex-CIA training facility outside of Tucson, Arizona, former U.S. Army Special Forces officers promise to help you beat the boredom blues by making you feel like James Bond. Upon your arrival, a professional off-road racer will take you speeding through the desert on a specially built FAV (Fast Action Vehicle) — like those used during Desert Storm — while you shoot at pop-up terrorists with a paintball gun. When that ends, a professional race-driver will teach you how to drive a car like they do in action movies. You learn how to use the emergency brake, steering wheel and gas pedal to pull a "J" turn. Then you are taught how to keep bad guys from bumping your car off the road, and how to smash through a vehicle blockade. The weekend concludes with a hostage crisis.
After an hour spent in the classroom examining real-life situations like
the disaster at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, a simulated
rescue begins. Other than using paintball guns instead of pistols, the
situation is as real as can be. Source: ABCNews.com ( On the other hand, let me recommend . . . this! But while an action vacation may alleviate your boredom for a few days, it is not a long-term cure. Jesus challenges us to participate in a mission far more significant than that experienced by secret-agent wannabes and that is helping fulfill the Great Commission! As our Lord said in Matthew 28:18-20, Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[1] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." One of the ways you can participate in helping accomplish our Lord's mandate to disciple "all nations" is through supporting and being involved in the actual training of pastors overseas through a first generation T-Net International Training Center. These centers involve 20-30 English speaking pastors who commit to be trained in 12 courses (six involving T-Net material and six using Bible Training Center for Pastors (BTCP) material) over a four year period. Their commitment is to start second generation training centers within one year of beginning their own training. The opportunity to be involved with this first generation of trained pastors is far more exciting than most any mission work a pastor and his church could consider. If we want to see the Great Commission accomplished in our lifetime, we must focus our energy on the training of the over two million untrained pastors that are already leading churches around the world. "BUT HOW CAN I AND MY CHURCH GET INVOLVED WITH THIS STRATEGY?" you might be asking. There
